Éver Maximiliano David Banega (born 29 June 1988) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Argentine Primera División club Defensa y Justicia. He started his career with Boca Juniors, and signed with Valencia in 2008 where he remained for several years, appearing in 162 official games and winning the 2008 Copa del Rey.
