The μA741 is an early operational amplifier (op amp) integrated circuit (IC), originally designed at Fairchild Semiconductor by Dave Fullagar and released in 1968. It is still often used as an educational example, especially for imperfections that an operational amplifier can have, and due to its long history of production of compatible and architecturally near-identical ICs under similar names (LM741, UA741, etc.).
