1977 Brazilian military crisis

On October 12, 1977, a military crisis was triggered by the dismissal of then Army Minister General Sílvio Frota by President Ernesto Geisel. The dismissal occurred that morning when Geisel summoned the minister for a brief meeting and informed him of his decision to remove him from office.
