1999 Greek stock market crash

The Greek stock market crash of 1999 (Greek: ελληνικό χρηματιστηριακό κραχ του 1999) was a sudden and sharp decline in the prices of most stocks on the Athens Stock Exchange (ATH), beginning in the fall of 1999 and continuing until the spring of 2003. This crash resulted in a significant drop in the total market capitalization of the Stock Exchange and a large reduction in nominal wealth for the majority of registered investors.
