2010 Hong Kong democracy protests
The 2010 Hong Kong democracy protests were a series of protests sparked by the 2010 electoral reform and the arrest of a high-profile Chinese activist, Liu Xiaobo. The protests reflected the growing force of the pro-democracy movement in the region, and can be seen as a precursor to the events of the 2014 Umbrella Revolution.
