2025 Prairieland ICE detention center incident

On the evening of July 4, 2025, a civil disturbance and shooting occurred at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, United States, during a protest against the campaign of mass deportation carried out during the second presidency of Donald Trump. The United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas said that eleven individuals set off fireworks and vandalized parked vehicles and a guard structure outside the center.
