The 2026 Druzhba pipeline dispute was a major diplomatic and energy crisis between Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine that escalated in February 2026. It occurred precisely one year after the 2025 Slovak–Ukraine gas dispute, which was triggered by the expiration of the Russia–Ukraine gas transit contract.
