2026 Tuapse environmental disaster

Since 16 April 2026, there has been an ongoing environmental disaster in the Russian Black Sea port city of Tuapse, caused by Ukrainian drone strikes on the Tuapse Refinery and Tuapse oil terminal amid a series of Ukrainian attacks in Russia during the Russo-Ukrainian War aimed at reducing Russian oil revenue. The attacks damaged the refinery and terminal, a major oil export hub, starting large fires and forcing them to suspend operations.
