70th Anniversary of Chinese People's Volunteers' Participation in War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea

The 70th Anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was a commemorative meeting held by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the State Council of China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on 23 October 2020, to commemorate China's entry to the Korean War. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held commemorative activities around October 25 because the "War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea" as defined by China began on 25 October 1950, the day when the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) entered North Korea on October 19 of that year for the first time, rather than the Korean War as generally said to have begun on 25 June 1950.
