Acting hetman

An acting hetman or appointed hetman (Ukrainian: Наказний гетьман, romanized: Nakaznyi hetman) was a title used in the Cossack Hetmanate during the 17th and 18th centuries. The acting hetman served as the temporary governing authority, assuming leadership responsibilities in place of the official Hetman.
