Africa–United States relations are the political, economic and cultural ties between the United States and the independent African countries. == History == Before World War II, the United States dealt directly only with the former American colony of Liberia, the independent nation of Ethiopia, the independent nation of Morocco, and the semi-independent nation of Egypt.
