Afro-Uruguayans

Afro-Uruguayans (Spanish: Afrouruguayos), also known as Black Uruguayans (Spanish: Uruguayos negros), are Uruguayans with partial or total ancestry from any of the Black racial groups of Africa. Afro-Uruguayans are generally considered the second-largest ethnic group in the country, although in much smaller numbers compared to the majority European-descended population, as they make up less than 11% of Uruguay's population.
