American football in Puerto Rico

Various forms of American football have been played in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico since it was first introduced following the Spanish-American War, initially emerging as a college and youth-focused sport during the 1920s. In the decades since, various developmental and semiprofessional leagues have been consistently active island-wide.
