An amphoe (Thai: อำเภอ, romanized: amphơ̄, IPA: [ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː]; 'district'), also anglicised as amphur ( or ), is the second level administrative subdivision of Thailand. Groups of amphoe or districts make up the provinces, and are analogous to counties.
