Anna Sorokin (Russian: Анна Сорокина, romanized: Anna Sorokina, pronounced [ˈanːə sɐˈrokʲɪnɐ]; born January 23, 1991), also known as Anna Delvey, is a Russian painter who became known as a con artist and fraudster, posing as a wealthy heiress to gain access to New York’s upper-class social and art scenes from 2013 to 2017. Born near Moscow, Delvey emigrated from Russia to Germany with her family at the age of 16 in 2007.
