Arab Americans (Arabic: عَرَبٌ أَمْرِيكِا, romanized: ʻArab Amrīkā or Arabic: العرب الأمريكيون, romanized: al-ʻArab al-Amrīkīyūn) are Americans who trace ancestry to any of the various waves of immigrants from the Arabic-speaking countries. In the United States census, Arabs are racially classified as White Americans which is defined as "A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa".
