The Arab Capital of Culture (Arabic: عاصمة الثقافة العربية, romanized: ʿāṣima ath-thaqāfa al-ʿarabiyya) is an initiative taken by the Arab League under the UNESCO Cultural Capitals Program to promote and celebrate Arab culture and encourage cooperation in the Arab region.
