Armed Revolutionary Action

The Armed Revolutionary Action (ARA) was the militant arm of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP). It was a semi-autonomous organization that was active from 1970 to 1973 under the Estado Novo dictatorship then led by Marcelo Caetano.
