Asabiyyah
'Asabiyyah, or 'asabiyya (Arabic: عصبيّة, romanized: ʿaṣabiyya, lit. 'group cohesiveness'); is a concept of social solidarity with an emphasis on unity, group consciousness, and a sense of shared purpose and social cohesion, originally primarily used in the context of tribalism and clanism. In the modern period, it is generally analogous to solidarity.
