Auguste Forel and the Baháʼí Faith
August Henri Forel (1 September 1848 – 27 July 1931), Swiss psychiatrist, neuroanatomist, myrmecologist and eugenicist, became a member of the Bahá’í Faith in 1921. At the end of December 1920 he had written a letter to ‘Abdu’l-Bahá explaining his relationship with science, his problem accepting that the mind is separate from the soul and that the soul survives after death, and stating that he was an agnostic.
