Auramine–rhodamine stain

The auramine–rhodamine stain (AR), also known as the Truant auramine–rhodamine stain, is a histological technique used to visualize acid-fast bacilli using fluorescence microscopy, notably species in the Mycobacterium genus. Acid-fast organisms display a reddish-yellow fluorescence.
