Avalokiteśvara

In Buddhism, Avalokiteśvara (meaning "the Lord who looks down", IPA: ), also known as Lokeśvara ("Lord of the World") and Chenrezig (in Tibetan), is a Bodhisattva associated with Great Compassion (mahākaruṇā).
