Azerbaijan People's Government

The Azerbaijan People's Government (Azerbaijani: آذربایجان میللی حؤکومتی - Azərbaycan Milli Hökuməti; Persian: حکومت خودمختار آذربایجان) was a short-lived unrecognized secessionist state in northern Iran from November 1945 to December 1946. Like the unrecognized Republic of Mahabad, it was a puppet state of the Soviet Union.
