Azuchi–Momoyama period
The Azuchi–Momoyama period (安土桃山時代, Azuchi–Momoyama jidai) or Oda-Toyotomi period (織田・豊臣時代) or also Shokuhō period (織豊時代) was the final phase of the Sengoku period (戦国時代, Sengoku jidai) in Japanese history from 1568 to 1603. After the outbreak of the Ōnin War in 1467, the power of the Ashikaga Shogunate effectively collapsed, marking the start of the chaotic Sengoku period.
