Non-line-of-sight propagation

Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) radio propagation is the propagation of radio waves over a path where the direct line-of-sight between the transmitting and receiving antennas is obstructed. It is common in urban areas, indoor environments and mountainous terrain, where buildings, walls, vegetation, hills, mountains or the curvature of the Earth block the direct path.
