Barate (Ancient Greek: Βαράτη), Barata (Βάρατα), or Baratta (Βάραττα), was a town of ancient Lycaonia, on the road from Iconium to Tyana, 50 M.P. from the former. In some itineraria the name is also spelt Barathra.
