The Battle of Žuč (Bosnian: Bitka za Žuč) was a strategic defensive military victory of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the defeat of The Army of Republika Srpska that took place on the 8th June 1992 at the strategic hill of Žuč, located in the municipality of Novi Grad, Sarajevo. == The battle == On 8 June 1992, the defenders of Sarajevo under the command of Enver Šehović and Safet Zajko liberated Orlić brdo and the wider area towards Volujek and Krstac, and the settlements of Smiljevići and Zabrđe in a fierce battle on Žuč Hill.
