Battle of the Ten Kings
The Battle of the Ten Kings (Sanskrit: दाशराज्ञयुद्धम्, IAST: Dāśarājñá yuddhám) was first alluded to in the 7th Mandala of the Rigveda (RV) and took place on the bank of river Parushni between a king of the Bharata tribe named Sudas, and a confederation of Puru, Yadu, Turvasa, Anu, Druhyu, Alina, Paktha, Bhalnas, Shiva and Vishanin tribes. It resulted in a decisive victory for the Bharatas and subsequent formation of the Kuru polity.
