Beige box

In personal computing, the beige box was the predominant aesthetic style of desktop computers of the 1980s and 1990s, having a boxy beige or off-white case. The term beige box is also sometimes used to distinguish generic PCs from models made by name brands such as Compaq, Dell, or HP. In the early years of these companies, most of their units were beige as well.
