Repatriation of Cossacks after World War II
The repatriation of Cossacks refers to the forced handover of anti-Soviet Cossack collaborators and their families by British and American forces to the Soviet Union after World War II, in accordance with Yalta Conference reciprocal repatriation agreements. While centered in Allied-occupied Austria during May and June 1945, these actions were part of a broader, coordinated repatriation network spanning Germany, the UK, and the USA that continued until 1947.
