William Dawson Waugh (December 1, 1929 – April 4, 2023) was an American soldier and paramilitary operations officer whose career in clandestine operations with the U.S. Army's Special Forces and the Central Intelligence Agency's Special Activities Division spanned more than 50 years. Waugh joined the U.S. Army before the Korean War, and following the war he quickly moved into Special Forces, first with 10th Group, and later 5th Group.
