Bobov (Hasidic dynasty)
Bobov (or Bobover Hasidism) (Hebrew: חסידות באבוב, Yiddish: בּאָבּאָװ) is a Hasidic quietist community within Haredi Judaism, originating in Bobowa, Galicia, in southern Poland, and now headquartered in the neighborhood of Borough Park, in Brooklyn, New York. Bobov developed into a leading Hasidic dynasty through the leadership of Shlomo Halberstam, a Holocaust survivor.
