Colombia is located in the northwestern corner of South America, confined between the vast Amazon rainforest and the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and also crossed by the great Andes mountain range. Due to this territorial conformation, it has both natural and political boundaries; as a complement to the latter definition, there are the so-called borders.
