Brazil socio-geographic division

Brazil can be divided into three socio-geographic divisions – Amazônia Legal, Centro-Sul, and Nordeste – which are distinct from the five officially recognized regions of Brazil. Historically, the different regions of Brazil had their own migratory movements, which resulted in racial differences between these areas.
