Brno death march

The Brno death march (German: Brünner Todesmarsch) began late on the night of 30 May 1945 when the ethnic German minority in Brno (German: Brünn [bʁʏn] ) was forcibly deported to nearby Austria following the capture of the city by the Allies during World War II. Only about half of the expellees actually crossed the border. Thousands of people were held in the provisional camps in the border area.
