The Buryats are a Mongol ethnic group indigenous to south‑eastern Siberia and northernmost Mongolia who speak the Buryat language or Buryat-Mongol dialect of Mongolian. They form one of the two principal indigenous groups in Siberia, the other being the Yakuts.
