Byzantine literature of the Justinian era
Byzantine literature of the Justinian era refers to the period of Byzantine literature from the accession of Emperor Justinian I in 527 to the rise of the Heraclian dynasty in 610. The prosperity of the Byzantine Empire under Emperor Justinian I (527–565) coincided with a comprehensive flourishing of Byzantine literature.
