CD/DVD based immunoassay
A compact disk/digital versatile disk (CD/DVD) based immunoassay is a method for determining the concentration of a compound in research and diagnostic laboratories by performing the test on an adapted CD/DVD surface using an adapted optical disc drive; these methods have been discussed and prototyped in research labs since 1991. == Principle == CDs and DVDs have a polycarbonate surface and metal reflective layer which allow for storage and retrieval of information.
