The cathaoirleach ( ; Irish for chairperson; plural: Cathaoirligh) is the chair (or presiding officer) of Seanad Éireann, the sixty-member upper house of the Oireachtas, the legislature of Ireland. The cathaoirleach's deputy is the leas-chathaoirleach.
