Catholic Church in Ethiopia

The Catholic Church in Ethiopia is part of the worldwide Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the pope in Rome. The Eastern Rite Ethiopian Catholic Church, the primary Catholic rite in the country, bases its liturgy and teaching on that of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, modified to be in accordance with the Catholic dogma.
