In Aztec mythology, Centeōtl [senˈteoːt͡ɬ], also known as Centeōcihuātl or Cinteōtl, is the maize deity. Cintli [ˈsint͡ɬi] means "dried maize still on the cob" and teōtl [ˈteoːt͡ɬ] means "deity".
