Central Arrest in the Warsaw Ghetto
The Central Arrest in the Warsaw Ghetto, officially the Central Arrest for the Jewish Residential District (German: Zentralarrest für den jüdischen Wohnbezirk), commonly referred to as Gęsiówka, was a prison facility in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II. It operated from 1941 to 1942. The detention center was located on the site of a pre-war Polish military prison at Gęsia Street.
