Chicken Tax

The Chicken Tax is a 25% tariff on imports of light trucks (and originally also on potato starch, dextrin, and brandy) into the United States that has been in effect since 1964. It was imposed under President Lyndon B. Johnson in response to tariffs placed by France and West Germany on importation of U.S. chicken.
