China in the Second Sino-Japanese War

During the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945), China suffered greatly from the Japanese invasion through economic turmoil, and significant population loss and shifts. Following the capture of major coastal cities, the Nationalist government, along with millions of refugees, fled inland.
