Chittisinghpura massacre

The Chittisinghpura massacre refers to the mass murder of 35 Sikh villagers on 20 March 2000 in the village of Chittisinghpura in Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir, India on the eve of the U.S. President Bill Clinton's state visit to India. The Indian government asserts that the massacre was conducted by the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) or Hizbul Mujahideen.
