Christianity in Arunachal Pradesh
Christianity is the largest religion in the Northeastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, which borders China, Bhutan and Myanmar. According to the 2011 Census of India, Christians numbered 418,732 and constituted 30.26 per cent of the state's population, the single largest religious community ahead of Hinduism (about 29 per cent) and the indigenous Donyi-Polo and related faiths recorded under "Other Religions and Persuasions" (about 26 per cent), with Buddhism accounting for most of the remainder.
