Contact was one of the first computer dating services, founded in 1965 by David Dewan when he was a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Contact participants answered 100 questions about themselves and their ideal dates and mailed completed reply forms with a $4 processing fee to Boston.
