Contemporary history of Spain

The contemporary history of Spain is the historiographical discipline and a historical period of Spanish history. Conventionally, Spanish historiography tends to consider the beginning of the Spanish War of Independence (1808) as an initial milestone, rather than the French Revolution, the Independence of the United States or the English Industrial Revolution.
