Coronation of the Swedish monarch
Coronation of the Swedish monarchs was a formal ceremony marking the investiture of a new sovereign with regal power and insignia. While early ceremonies in the 13th and 14th centuries were held in various cities, Uppsala Cathedral and Storkyrkan in Stockholm emerged as the primary venues from the mid-15th century onward.
