The Croatian Navy (Croatian: Hrvatska ratna mornarica, HRM; lit. 'Croat War Navy') is the naval force branch of the Armed Forces of Croatia. It was formed in 1991, following the independence of Croatia, to secure its territorial waters and 1,778-kilometer coastline on the Adriatic Sea.
